It is typically flown by Stringfellow Hawke.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe actual helicopter was modified from a\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bell_222\/230\" class=\"extiw\" title=\"wikipedia:Bell 222\/230\"\u003eBell 222\u003c\/a\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e(S\/N 47085, tail number N3176S) owned by Van Nuys-based Jetcopters, Inc. The helicopter's modifications were designed by American artist Andrew Probert. The helicopter was flown in-series by Peter McKernan Sr., owner of Jetcopters. Following the cancelation of the show, the helicopter's modifications were removed and are now owned by a private collector; the helicopter itself was then sold to German search and rescue company HSD Luftrettung, re-registered D-HHSD and operated as an air ambulance. While operating with HSD the helicopter crashed into a mountain on 6 June 1992 due to poor visibility, killing all three occupants onboard.
